Lockdown Lowdown

Hi everyone, how are you all doing?!? Bad question?

Clare and Sonja would like to send you their best wishes and tell you all how much they are missing you and can’t wait to get back to classes!

But, in the meantime let us tell you what we have been doing!

We have been around with some art packs for our regular participants of our Arts for Wellbeing Hadfield Glossop and 16-30s groups. We were successful in securing some meantime funding from Action Together for materials.

We have also had donations of seed packs from M&Ss and Easter chocolates from Tesco these will be finding their way to you in our next pack! We hope to get some supplies out to you on a regular basis but that depends on us securing further funding – we are applying for this now!

We have already asked you to produce a 20 x 20 cm square of textile, knitting, crochet or picture that we can digitally print onto fabric to stitch together for our ‘Coming together’ Wall Hanging – we are going to have a big exhibition and celebration of our ‘Lockdown Art’ at the end of all this. Whenever that may be! I dare say there will be tea and cake!!!

In the next pack you will receive a cardboard alphabet letter – we would like you to decorate it with pens, wool, ribbons, buttons or whatever you have at home and this will make up the verse of hope from Captain Tom Moore who at 99 years old has raised nearly £30,000,000 for the NHS

‘The Sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away’. Captain Tom Moore

If you would like to get involved in making for the NHS let us know on the email below.

Rhoda has hosted a virtual ‘Club Night’ on Facebook – which would have been our Club Night Birthday! We are doing this again on May 4th Join us for a Star Wars/Sci-Fi theme.

We are missing our friends so much.
